Lonely in London? Not With These Tips

Last year I was in London for a couple of days on my own before I flew out to re-join my friend during our European tour. On the first day I was feeling a little lost for things to do, and a touch of loneliness kicked in. I very quickly realized that I was in one of the most interesting cities on the planet and one which has more than enough to explore, and so I decided to get a hold of myself and go out and enjoy what the city had to offer. To help you avoid this momentary lapse of reason, here are some tips on enjoying yourself as a singleton in London.

Finding Company

If you don’t fancy spending the time on your own then you will find it very easy to seek out company here in London, after all there are 8 million people living here, not to mention the numbers of tourists. If you are looking to meet like-minded people then you can use meet-up websites which will put you in touch with them, and if you are looking for something a little more then you can find that too. I stayed in Barking when I was there and one night I used a Barking escorts service to find a beautiful woman to spend the evening with, and you’ll find similar services throughout London. Alternatively you can use dating apps which are abundant with men and women looking for fun, company and hook-ups.

Wandering

I am someone who usually likes to have a plan as to where to go but in London I found that one of the best things to do was simply to wander around. There are surprises and hidden treasures around almost every corner and many of them are the type which you may not find on a map. For example I wandered through the market area of Camden and ran into a piece of artwork by the famed graffiti artist Banksy, a delight I wouldn’t have had if I’d stuck to a city guide. Wandering like this is the perfect solo pursuit because you can go wherever you like without a destination, and without having to discuss it first.

Events

As long as you are happy with your own company then taking advantage of one of the numerous events around London makes for a great idea and there are so many options available to you. The West End is where you’ll find all of the theaters with some of the world’s biggest stageshows and musicals. Alternatively you could head to a music concert or a sports event which take place all over the city. Enjoying these events alone is very easy to do and whilst you may miss chatting about it with someone, you will more than likely find someone sitting next to you who you can talk to.

You are never really ‘alone’ in the city and with so much to do and see, you will probably be thankful that you don’t have someone alongside you who has different plans to yours.
